This digital painting was part of my art show "An Instant Breathing", at the Des Moines Social Club in 2019. The show explored the nature of memory and featured digital art pieces based on family photos I inherited from my parents. This piece was based on an old photo I found of my Grandpa. Unexpectedly, it ended up being the most popular piece in the show, with multiple attendees expressing interest in purchasing it. I sold it to friends of mine who asked first and was happy to hear that they have it up in their living room. My grandpa passed away in 2020 and they kindly messaged me to let me know that he was still up and smiling on their wall.
