LA Power Lines
Here is a landscape I did for my solo art show at The Lift. It was inspired by a trip I took to Los Angeles last fall. I love visiting southern California. The landscape and cities are such iconic parts of American culture, yet feel like such a different version of America from the one I know in the midwest. At least as far as landscape and climate go, Iowa has some similarities in summer to the Southeastern US and to the Northeastern US in winter. The landscape of LA is defined by coast, mountains and desert. We don't really have any of that where I am from.
