Flash in a Pan - Folklore
I'm really excited to have made the album artwork for the latest Flash in the Pan album, coming out June 1st, 2018! Originally the design was just going to a be a single-color t-shirt design but I was stoked when they said they wanted to use it as an album cover instead. They gave me a lot of freedom with the design, but did provide me with one of the most interesting general concepts I've ever started with. The starting idea was to take imagery from the Eudora Welty short story "The Wide Net" (which I read for the assignment and really liked), draw it in the style of William Blake, and put it together in a mandala-type layout.
