Mixmasters Poster - Black Lips at 80/35
This was my poster entry for the Mixmasters poster show in 2017, celebrating 10 years of Des Moine's 80/35 Music Festival. Artists were asked to make a poster commemorating one of their favorite 80/35 shows. It felt a little strange choosing a show from 2016 as I’d been going to 80/35 since the first year, but I couldn't get over how much fun I had at Black Lips. It was a band I had always wanted to see live but didn’t think I would get the chance in Des Moines. For me the show exemplified the way 80/35 has made it possible to see my favorite bands in my hometown. Also, it was an awesome set, and that’s why I chose a poster design commemorating it.
