Phantom Wiggle

 Phantom Wiggle

In this piece, specters dance in the air in front of the man on the bench. I’m not sure if he is being haunted by actual ghosts or something more figurative, but I do know that he is unable to escape them. His foot is chained to his suitcase. The ripple lines and streaks behind the ghosts are my version of the old newspaper-comic technique of using squiggle lines or dashes to represent movement. The interaction here is either that of the real and the supernatural, the physical and the mental, or the past and the present.
